The 2025 Essex County Age Group Championships proved to be an extraordinary display of talent, determination and teamwork, as the Killerwhales proudly secured 3rd place in a highly competitive field. With 63 swimmers competing across both individual events and relays, the team’s collective effort was truly remarkable. From our more experienced to our youngest swimmers, everyone played a crucial role in this achievement, demonstrating the power of hard work and team spirit.
Competing against the best swimmers from over 30 clubs across Essex and East London, the Killerwhales delivered outstanding results throughout from the 50m sprints through to the gruelling 1500m long distance races, securing a remarkable 14 gold, 25 silver and 27 bronze medals.
Well done to both Shane G and Alanna H, who narrowly missed out on the top boy and top girl spots. It wasn’t just the top performers who shone, each swimmer contributed to the overall success, with some of our youngest swimmers competing at the London Aquatics Centre for the very first time, stepping up and showing their potential. A standout achievement came from the 9/10 girls’ relay team who clinched gold in the individual medley.
Congratulations to all the swimmers, coaches and supporters who made this achievement possible. This is fantastic result for the club and we are incredibly proud of all our swimmers.
