Killerwhales Swim Club organised a successful Sunset Gala on the evening of 26th February at Sapphire Leisure centre, providing an invaluable experience for their younger swimmers from the development squads.
The event, designed to offer a fun, relaxed, and familiar environment, was a huge success and a memorable night for all participants.
Approximately 50 children, aged between 7 and 10, took part in four 50-metre sprint races. The young swimmers not only clocked some impressive times, but also had a great deal of fun, with each swimmer being rewarded with a well-deserved donut for their hard work and enthusiasm.
The event showcased the incredible talents of our rising stars. The older squad members played a pivotal role throughout the evening, helping organise the younger swimmers into heats and offering valuable tips and encouragement, reflecting a true club effort.
A big thank you goes out to the coaches, parents, grandparents and helpers, whose support made the event such a success. Their hard work and dedication ensured a wonderful experience for all involved.
