Tesco Stronger Start

The Killerwhales Swim Club of Havering was thrilled to be presented with a cheque for £1,500 from Tesco’s Stronger Start program.  This grant will provide much-needed assistance in a time when the club has faced rising pool costs.

A spokesperson for the club expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support, saying: “In recent times the Club has been faced with rising pool costs, but the club has managed to keep club fees the same to ensure that we can be accessible to as many members of the local community as possible.  Being able to swim is an essential life skill, as well as helping boost mental health and physical well-being.  We are extremely grateful to Tesco for their support and providing us with this cheque.  It will go a long way to help our club and the community!”

As the club looks to the future, this grant will help ensure that more individuals in Havering can learn to swim and enjoy the many benefits that come with being in the water.
